About Foran Forge

Foran Forge is a belt shop out of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. The legal name behind it is KENNETH FORAN GT INC. The store name is shorter on purpose. Foran is the family name. Forge is the work: leather, alloy, studs, a buckle that has to close and stay closed.

Slippery Rock is not a fashion city. It is a Main Street town with a college at one end and old brick at the other. The address is 252 S Main St. Orders leave from here. Questions come back here. That is the whole geography of the brand.

The belts are for people who already dress like they mean it — black denim, a jacket with hardware, a show, a shift that starts after dark. Some of the straps are studded. Some carry a cross, a star, a western buckle, a sword tip. None of them are meant to disappear under a tucked-in shirt.

Foran, as a name, is Irish before it is American. In the old language it sits near a cold spring. We did not build a crest out of that. We kept the word and put it on the buckle side of the business. Cold, short, hard to dress up.
