Privacy policy
This page is for the Foran Forge website run by KENNETH FORAN GT INC, 252 S Main St, Slippery Rock, PA 16057, United States. United States law governs this policy, including federal rules that apply to an online retailer and Pennsylvania law where the company is based. If a California resident has extra rights under California law, those rights still sit on top of this page. We do not pick a foreign privacy statute for this shop.
SSL
The site runs on an SSL certificate. The padlock in the browser is the checkout and the account pages moving over HTTPS. We do not take an order on an open HTTP form.
What we collect
What you type at checkout and in the account: name, email, phone, shipping address, billing address if it is different, order notes, and the password hash for the account. PayPal and Shopify Payments see the card or PayPal login. We do not keep a full card number on a spreadsheet in Slippery Rock.
What the site logs when you load a page: IP address, browser, pages viewed, cart contents, and the order you placed. Shopify sets cookies so the cart and the login survive a refresh. That is the list.
What we use it for
Fill the order. Print the USPS label from 252 S Main St. Email the tracking number. Run the 35-day return window and the prepaid return label. Answer mail at service@foranforge.com and calls at +1 (724) 896-2843. Keep the account working. Send a service email about a delay when USPS or a supplier slips, which is the same notice described in the Shipping Policy.
We do not sell that information. We do not rent the list. We do not hand it to an ad network for a prospecting audience. We do not run your name or email in an ad campaign unless you have already said yes to that use. A cart reminder or a shipment notice is order mail, not an ad.
Who else sees it
Shopify holds the store and the checkout. PayPal sees the payment when you pay with PayPal. USPS sees the name, address, and phone on the label. Those three exist because the order cannot move without them. We do not add a fourth buyer of the file.
What we will not do
We will not sell your information.
We will not use your information for advertising unless you have agreed to that use.
We will not put the customer list on a marketplace or trade it for a sponsored post.
Retention
Order records stay as long as tax and shipping claims need them. An account stays until you ask us to close it. Cookies for the cart last until they expire or you clear them.
Access and deletion
Email service@foranforge.com from the address on the order if you want a copy of what we hold or you want the account closed. We handle that request under United States law, including federal rules that apply to an online retailer and Pennsylvania law for a Pennsylvania company. California residents can send the same email and ask for the California-specific list of categories we hold. We do not answer those requests through a walk-up at 252 S Main St.
Law
United States law applies to this policy. Pennsylvania law applies where the company is organized and where the Main Street office sits. We do not put this shop under EU or UK privacy statutes.
